SAN JOSE -- Coach Ron Caragher made it clear Monday that junior quarterback Kenny Potter is the man to run San Jose State's offense.
The Spartans coach went out of his way to praise Potter's performance over the weekend in the team's unappealing 30-7 defeat to San Diego State in Mountain West Conference play.Potter completed 14 of 24 passes for 113 yards, but also had two interceptions and was sacked four times. He is 1-3 as a starting quarterback heading into Saturday's home game against New Mexico (4-3, 2-1, Mountain West)."I just felt whoever you put back there, they won't surpass what he did," Caragher said.
