SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Justin James scored 33 points including nine in overtime that made the difference as Wyoming notched its third straight win with a 90-86 victory over San Jose State on Saturday.
James hit a 3-pointer midway in the extra period and followed it with a layup and a jumper to help give the Cowboys (14-7, 5-3 Mountain West) an 88-84 lead with 16 seconds left. He then sank two free throws with eight seconds to go.
Wyoming led 71-63 with 5:17 to play in regulation when San Jose State rallied to finish the half on a 14-6 surge capped by a Jalen James layup to tie it 77-all with two seconds left.
