LAST SEASON: 2-28, 0-18 (last in Mountain West Conference) COACH: Dave Wojcik, third season (9-52) KEY PLAYERS: Senior forward Frank Rogers (10.4 points, 6.1 rebounds), junior point guard Isaac Thornton (4.7 points, 2.3 assists), junior guard Gary Williams Jr., sophomore guard Jalen James SCOUTING REPORT: The Spartans have struggled under Wojcik, winning just one conference game in his tenure and none last season. ... Just six players return from last season's disastrous campaign, which was filled with injuries, suspensions, dismissals, transfers and defeat. SJSU sometimes barely had enough players to put a team on the court, and its only victories came against schools that do not play in Division I.
