SAN JOSE -- San Jose State coach Ron Caragher hopes his defense will be up to speed -- literally -- when the Spartans take the field Saturday in their season opener at Tulsa.
Tulsa's offense snaps the ball approximately every 18 seconds, which is among the 10 fastest snap rates in the nation, Caragher said Monday at SJSU's weekly news conference. This means that the Golden Hurricane likes to move the ball quickly and often."It will definitely be a challenge for our team to face that kind of up-tempo, fast-tempo type of offense," Caragher said.Making things even more challenging for San Jose State is that Tulsa doesn't make substitutions very often.
