It appears San Jose State's football program has lost another assistant coach.
Sports Illustrated is reporting that Spartans' assistant Jimmie Dougherty will join head coach Jim Harbaugh at Michigan. Dougherty will be an offensive assistant, though no position has been specified.At San Jose State, Dougherty was the assistant head coach, passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach. The Wolverines alrady have a passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach in Jedd Fisch.Doughterty becomes the fifth assistant San Jose State head coach Ron Caragher will replace since the end of the 2015 season. The school announced the hiring of four new defensive assistants on Tuesday -- Ron English as defensive coordinator, Barry Sacks as defensive line coach, Will Harris to handle the defensive backs and Arnold Ale as linebackes coach.
