Mountain West preview: San Diego State, Boise State are division favorites

WEST1. San Diego State: Safest bet from a second-rate pool of candidates. Difference in the division race could be that Aztecs get Fresno State and Nevada at home.2. Nevada: Picked third in MW media poll, but I'm a tad more bullish on their prospects based on coach Brian Polian's recruiting.3. Fresno State: One year after playing for the league title, the Bulldogs are retooling on both sides of scrimmage. Best guess is FSU and Nevada finish with the same league record. But I refuse to pick ties.4. Hawaii: After much back and forth, opted for Warriors over San Jose State for fourth place based on their quarterback play (USC transfer Max Wittek) and home date with SJSU.
