The San Jose Earthquakes kept their winning streak alive by beating its SoCal rival, the Los Angeles Galaxy, 1–0 in the California Clasico in front of a sold-out crowd of 18,000 at Avaya Stadium on Friday.
With the win, the Quakes (11–10–5) moved its point total to 38 and pushed its winning streak to four games.
“I thought they were great tonight,” said Earthquakes head coach Dominic Kinnear. “We did some real good things in the first half. The last three weeks we’ve been good and we’ve followed up those performances up with a good level of consistency and that’s the reason we’re winning games.
