As much as I’d like to say Joonas Donskoi will carry the Finns to unquestioned victory over much more talented foes, I think we’ll have to settle for the Finnish forward scoring a shit-ton of goals in defeat. There are some interesting players here, Patrik Laine and Aleksander Barkov among them, but once you get outside the top six (hell, the top three) things get very thin.
I’m not going to talk about the goaltenders now, but sufficed to say that should help offset Finland’s relatively weakness in other positions.
