SAN JOSE — Jannik Hansen said Wednesday that he isn’t sure where he might fit into the deep Sharks forward group. Right now, it’s not a huge concern.
The 30-year-old winger, who the Sharks acquired Tuesday from the Vancouver Canucks, goes from a team that appears to be starting a rebuild to one that has clear aspirations of winning the Stanley Cup this season.
Hansen spent all of his nine-plus seasons in the NHL with the Canucks, recording 235 points in 565 games.
“That was obviously a big thing for me, going to a team that has that opportunity and San Jose has that,” Hansen said in a conference call.
