San Jose Sharks forward Tomas Hertl has landed on the NHL’s COVID-19 protocols after testing positive for the coronavirus this morning.
As a precaution, the team’s practice facilities have suspended operations and will remain closed until further notice. The Sharks were scheduled to participate in practice this morning, but it has since been cancelled. Their upcoming game against the Vegas Golden Knights, scheduled for this Thursday, has been postponed out of caution. This marks the 36th game postponed this season due to COVID-19.
Per the NHL, “the decision was made by the League’s, NHLPA’s and Club’s medical groups while the League continues to analyze test results in the coming days.
