SAN JOSE -- Sharks fans will have to wait at least another day to see if Tomas Hertl will continue contributing to the team’s offense, or be sidelined.
Sharks coach Peter DeBoer told the media Monday morning the 24-year-old forward is considered day-to-day after taking a shoulder to the head in Saturday night’s tilt against the Philadelphia Flyers. Hertl did not participate in Monday’s morning skate.
DeBoer doesn’t think the injury is serious. However, being that Hertl’s believed to have a concussion, the timetable for his return remains uncertain.
The hit occurred during the second period of Saturday’s game as Hertl was carrying the puck into the offensive zone and trying to maneuver around Philadelphia defenseman Christian Folin.
