SAN JOSE — With Marc-Edouard Vlasic sidelined by a head injury, defenseman Dylan DeMelo will get an opportunity to prove that he can still play.
DeMelo, who got bumped out of the Sharks lineup by Tim Heed and Joakim Ryan after just two games, will skate on the team’s third pairing when the Anaheim Ducks roll into the SAP Center Saturday.
The 24-year-old defenseman will partner up with Heed while Brenden Dillon moves up in the lineup to skate alongside Justin Braun, replacing Vlasic, who suffered a head injury against the Nashville Predators Wednesday.
