SAN JOSE — Eric Fehr will miss the Sharks game against the Chicago Blackhawks at SAP Center Thursday to recover from a day-to-day lower-body tweak.
Whatever’s ailing him isn’t going to put him through the hell that he dealt with last year recovering from a freak injury suffered in his first game with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
On March 22, 2017, Fehr blocked a shot in a game against the Columbus Blue Jackets with his left hand, breaking and dislocating his ring finger while also severing a tendon.
“That was a nasty one,” Fehr said. “I’ve never heard of a trifecta like that.
