SAN JOSE — Like most kids who grow up in Canada, Evander Kane formed a handful of indelible memories watching the Stanley Cup playoffs during his formidable years.
He cherishes the memory of seeing Alexander Ovechkin rack up 11 goals and 21 points in 14 games during the 2009 playoffs and he’ll never forget Paul Kariya’s goal in Game 6 of the 2002 Stanley Cup Final after he returned from getting knocked out by defenseman Scott Stevens.
Now, he’s geared up for the opportunity to make some memories for the next generation of kids dreaming about playoff glory in front of their TVs.
