CHICAGO — Logan Couture will center the Sharks second line in Chicago Monday after missing the last 9:51 of the third period Saturday.
Although it’s the time of year where players across the league are fighting through injuries, Couture insists that he missed half of the third in the Sharks 5-1 win over the Calgary Flames for a different reason.
“I was sick,” Couture said. “The score was 4-1. I was going to get an IV and see the doctor, so Pete (DeBoer) just said, go get started right now.”
The Sharks (43-23-9) will, however, be missing a key piece when they square off against the Chicago Blackhawks (31-36-9) Monday as Eric Fehr will be sidelined with a lower-body injury.
