SAN JOSE — Brent Burns is good to go, Evander Kane is still out and the Sharks coach provided insight into Erik Karlsson’s latest setback.
Pete DeBoer confirmed after the Sharks morning practice on Sunday that Karlsson re-aggravated a groin injury on Tuesday that forced him out of the lineup for 10 games in January and February. The Sharks coach said recent test results affirmed that Karlsson isn’t dealing with a second injury after he struggled through the final 8:20 of the second period in Boston on Tuesday.
“It’s a version of the same injury. I don’t anticipate it being long term,” the Sharks coach said.
