SAN JOSE — Joe Pavelski tipped his cap at Justin Braun, who took the credit with open arms.
When the Sharks last met up with the Montreal Canadiens on Dec. 2, Braun scored his only goal of the year, setting the stage for a win that helped turn the Sharks season around. Earlier in the day, the team had held a closed-door meeting with general manager Doug Wilson, who relayed a simple message in the wake of a four-game losing streak that included a 6-2 drubbing in Erik Karlsson’s homecoming to Ottawa: have fun.
“I don’t want to say (Braun) turned our season around,” Pavelski said.
