NASHVILLE, Tenn. — With a win over the Nashville Predators Thursday, the Sharks can clinch a spot in the Stanley Cup playoffs for the 13th time in 14 years. A single point combined with a Los Angeles Kings loss to the Arizona Coyotes in regulation will also get the job done.
Apparently, the Sharks aren’t keeping up with their playoff math, though.
Joe Pavelski learned about the Sharks opportunity to clinch a playoff spot from reporters after the team’s morning practice.
“It’s just another day,” the Sharks captain said. “Obviously, you’re excited when you clinch a playoff spot, but we’re just trying to keep this going.
