Too often we treat general manager decisions as a zero-sum game. Good general managers make mistakes and poor ones can make great picks or trades. Doug Wilson has consistently put the San Jose Sharks in a position to be competitive and as such is well deserving of the honor of being inducted into the San Jose Sports Hall of Fame.
Wilson is the fourth member of the Sharks organization to be inducted into the Hall. Owen Nolan was most recently recognized (2014) while Arturs Irbe (2010) and George Gund III (2008) were previously added to the Hall. Wilson has served as the general manager of the San Jose Sharks since May of 2003.
