LAS VEGAS — Evander Kane smiled as he rode the elevator down from the press box after the Sharks double overtime win Saturday night.
It’s probably fair to assume that he felt some relief in seeing the Sharks crawl back into their series with the Vegas Golden Knights as he served a one-game suspension for cross-checking Pierre-Edouard Bellemare in Game 1.
The last thing he wanted was to put his team in a compromised position after he finally reached the Stanley Cup playoffs in his ninth NHL season.
Now, he’ll get to rejoin the action in Game 3 with the pendulum swinging in the opposite direction.
