LAS VEGAS — Sharks coach Pete DeBoer didn’t mince words earlier this month when he was asked what his rationale was for starting Martin Jones in goal several times in a row instead of giving Aaron Dell more opportunities.
After all, it was DeBoer’s hope when the season began that he could start Dell in net more consistently than he did last year.
“He’s got to make it easier for us to stick him in there,” DeBoer said Nov. 12.
Dell had to wait until Thursday’s game with the Vegas Golden Knights to get another opportunity after he allowed five goals on 28 shots in a lopsided loss to the Vancouver Canucks on Nov.
