EDMONTON, Alberta — The last time the Sharks squared off against the Edmonton Oilers they lost to a team that received an emotional boost with Ken Hitchcock making his debut behind the bench.
On Saturday, they took advantage of a squad that’s on the backslide, losing five straight after producing a 9-2-2 record in Hitchcock’s first three weeks as head coach. With the win, the Sharks (21-12-7) kicked the Oilers while they’re down, increasing their lead over their Pacific Division rivals to 10 points.
