PITTSBURGH -- With a smack of the puck, a seam through the bodies and some help from the post, defenseman Justin Braun put the Sharks in position to win Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final.
Thursday, his life turns serious.With the team heading home Thursday to regroup, Braun will fly to Atlanta to lay his father-in-law to rest. Tom Lysiak, a former NHL player for Atlanta and Chicago, passed away Monday after a multi-year battle with leukemia. He was 63.At the time, Braun was in Pittsburgh preparing for Game 1. He spent three long days and two late nights with the Sharks while his wife, Jessica, was in Atlanta mourning Lysiak's passing.
