SAN JOSE — Sharks general manager Doug Wilson is close to knocking a couple of items off of his to-do list before the heavy lifting starts this summer.
According to a source, the Sharks are close to re-signing pending-restricted free agents Joonas Donskoi and Melker Karlsson to multi-year contracts.
Donskoi played a key role in the Sharks run to the Stanley Cup Final last spring, collecting 12 points (6g, 6a) in 24 games, including the game-winning goal in the team’s Game 3 overtime win over the Pittsburgh Penguins at the SAP Center.
The Sharks signed Donskoi out of the Finnish Liiga in May 2015.
