SAN JOSE — Defenseman Erik Karlsson will miss his fourth straight game Saturday — and potentially at least the start of next week’s road trip through Western Canada — when the Sharks host the Arizona Coyotes looking to gain ground on first place in the Pacific Division.
Karlsson, bothered by a lower body injury for roughly the past two weeks, did not practice Friday and did not take part in Saturday morning’s skate.
Sharks coach Pete DeBoer said he doesn’t believe Karlsson’s injury will keep him out long term, but added the team is taking a cautious approach.
