CHICAGO — The Sharks have reportedly placed forward Jonny Brodzinski on waivers — presumably to clear a roster spot for Patrick Marleau, who is expected to officially join the team Wednesday.
Brodzinski, who signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Sharks this summer, played in two of four games this season and did not have a point. Brodzinski dressed for Tuesday’s game in Nashville against the Predators and had one shot on goal in nine minutes of ice time.
Per CapFriendly, Brodzinski’s NHL salary was $700,000, the same amount that Marleau will reportedly be paid once he officially joins the Sharks.
