The Sharks officially assigned forward Raffi Torres to the Barracuda on Saturday after the 34-year-old cleared waivers.
Torres, attempting to return to the NHL after a series of right knee operations and 41-game suspension this season, has played three games with the Sharks’ AHL affiliate going scoreless with one shot on goal.
The Barracuda is currently on a five-game road trip. It has lost six straight, including a 2-1 defeat in San Antonio on Friday, as head coach Roy Sommer remains just one win shy of tying Bun Cook for the most wins in league history (636).
