Aaron Dell stopped 24 shots and the Sharks scored four second-period goals as they opened their exhibition season with a 5-0 victory over the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday night at SAP Center.
Filip Sandberg, Daniel O’Regan, Mikkel Boedker, Kevin Labanc and Brandon Bollig scored for the Sharks.
Reto Berra allowed all five San Jose goals on 36 shots.
The Sharks next play Thursday when they host the expansion Vegas Golden Knights.
