Dylan Gambrell tied the score with a first-period goal, but things went downhill from there for the Sharks as they continued a difficult road trip with a 4-1 loss to the New York Islanders on Sunday.
Anders Lee scored twice, and Semyon Varlamov made 29 saves for New York.
“The Islanders are pretty tight. They don’t give you a lot,” Sharks interim coach Bob Boughner said. “We just couldn’t generate many second and third chances tonight.”
The Sharks were coming off a 3-2 loss to Rangers on Saturday and had also lost 2-1 to the New Jersey Devils in Newark on Thursday.
