The postseason doesn’t start until next week, but the Sharks are in full playoff-secrecy mode when it comes to injured centers Joe Thornton and Logan Couture.
Thornton went missing Tuesday for the first time in 202 regular-season games because of a left knee injury sustained Sunday. And Couture was out for a fifth straight game as he continues to recover from taking a deflected puck to the mouth March 25 at Nashville.
No one is saying when either might return.
“I expect both of them will be back at some point,” Sharks head coach Peter DeBoer said.
