The San Jose Sharks signed defender Dan Kelly to a one-year deal on Monday. Additionally, the Barracuda signed John McCarthy, Jake Marchment, Matt Willows and Jamie Murray to AHL deals.
We don’t know the terms for Kelly’s contract — it’s very likely a two-way deal. He played for Peter DeBoer in Kitchener in 2008, which continues the trend of the San Jose Sharks acquiring literally every player DeBoer has ever coached.
Other than that, Kelly has spent all of his time in the AHL since he was signed by the New Jersey Devils as a free agent in 2010.
