Goaltender Troy Grosenick and defender Dan Kelly have both been sent to the San Jose Barracuda, effectively ending the battle for the backup goaltending position. While Kelly never had much of a chance to stick with the Sharks, Grosenick was at least on paper fighting for a job as Martin Jones' backup with Aaron Dell. That battle seems to be over.
The Sharks still have a handful of cuts to make, particularly to the forward group, and have three preseason games to play. San Jose hosts Anaheim on Wednesday and we'll likely see another round of cuts following that contest.
