Sharks send Carpenter back to Barracuda

After joining the Sharks for their first road trip, San Jose has reassigned Ryan Carpenter to the San Jose Barracuda, general manager Doug Wilson announced today. The Sharks are now carrying 13 forwards, seven defensemen, and two goaltenders.

He did not draw into the lineup in the first four games of San Jose’s five game road trip. Carpenter was the Barracuda’s leading scorer last season, and rejoins the team ahead of their second game of the season tomorrow in Ontario against the Reign.

A week ago, Carpenter was called up to join the Sharks for their road trip, and 2015 first round pick Timo Meier was reassigned to the Barracuda.
