Gabryel Boudreau, the Sharks’ second round draft pick in 2013, will re-enter the NHL Entry Draft after he was not issued a bonafide offer with San Jose.
Boudreau, a left wing, was limited to just 7 games with Chicoutimi of the QMJHL this season due to injury.
According to the French-language outlet LaPresse, the Sharks explained to Boudreau that he was not “sufficiently evaluated while he has spent almost all of last season on the disabled list.”
"For them, it's hard to base an opinion with my season," Boudreau said.
Boudreau, 20, was chosen 49th overall by San Jose after posting 63 points in 67 games with Baie-Comeau of the QMJHL in 2012-13.
