NEWARK, N.J. — A third period to forget ended the Sharks five-game road trip on a sour note.
The New Jersey Devils scored twice in the final frame, ripping two points out of the Sharks hands with a 3-2 win. As a result, the Sharks completed their road trip with a 2-2-1 record.
Mirco Mueller, the Sharks 2013 first-round pick, got revenge on his former-team, setting up the game-winning goal scored by Kyle Palmieri with a shot from the left circle. The Sharks traded Mueller to the Devils for a pair of draft picks in June 2017.
