The Sharks tied up some loose ends this morning by taking Dylan DeMelo off injured reserve and sending a bevy of players down to the Barracuda. Ready? Kevin Labanc, Nikolay Goldobin, Marcus Sorensen and Mirco Mueller all got their walking papers on Monday to join the Sharks’ American Hockey League affiliate.
The Smoll Sharks play one game during San Jose’s bye week, on Wednesday in Tucson, and I expect all these players to get action then. As for who gets called back up on Saturday to play in Vancouver? That’s not so certain. Goldobin didn’t play in the third period despite entering it with an even corsi rating (BLERGH WHO CARES JAKE) so we may have seen the last of the Russian forward for a while.
