Sharks reduce training camp roster

SAN JOSE – The Sharks further reduced their training camp roster on Monday, heading into their final full week of training camp.

Among the players reassigned to the AHL Barracuda were goaltenders Aaron Dell and Troy Grosenick; forwards Bryan Lerg, Micheal Haley, John McCarthy and Ryan Carpenter; and defensemen Mark Cundari, Karl Stollery and Gus Young.

First round pick Timo Meier has also returned to his junior club in Halifax, per the team's Twitter feed. Forward Frazer McLaren has reportedly been placed on waivers, likely for the purpose of reassignment to the Barracuda.

The Sharks’ roster now stands at 26 players, including 18 forwards, eight defensemen and two goaltenders.
