DALLAS — The Sharks recalled winger Timo Meier and center Danny O’Regan from the AHL on Sunday as the health of Jannik Hansen and his availability for the start of the team’s four-game road trip remains a mystery.
Hansen was hurt in the third period of Saturday’s game against Anaheim, appearing to catch a stick in his face after a hit on Ducks defenseman Brandon Montour. Hansen fell to the ice for a moment, then skated off under his own power to the Sharks bench before walking to the locker room. He did not return.
The Sharks begin a four-game road trip Monday in Dallas, followed by games in Minnesota on Tuesday, back in Dallas on Friday and Nashville on Sunday.
