BUFFALO, New York — The Sharks have recalled winger Marcus Sorensen from the Barracuda as forward Kevin Labanc and defenseman Tim Heed were reassigned back to the AHL.
The speedy Sorensen, 24, had 13 goals and 27 points in 39 games for the Barracuda, including two goals and six assists in his last six games. The Barracuda enter this week on a five-game win streak.
Sorensen could make his NHL debut as early as Tuesday when the Sharks begin a four-game road trip against the Buffalo Sabres. The Sharks have 14 forwards on their active roster right now.
