The Sharks have recalled 23-year-old defenseman Jacob Middleton from their AHL affiliate the San Jose Barracuda.
Middleton has played 29 games for the Barracuda this season, recording two goals and ten assists for 12 total points, which is tied for third in assists and points on the team at the time of his recall. Middleton is also slated to make his first AHL All-Star appearance as one of four representatives of the Barracuda in Springfield.
In a corresponding move to Middleton’s recall, 31-year-old defender Marc-Edouard Vlasic has been placed on Injured Reserve. Vlasic has not suited up since Jan.
