Sharks General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that center Dylan Gambrell was called up to the San Jose Sharks, after playing with the Sharks’ American Hockey League affiliate the San Jose Barracuda in last night’s win over the Arizona Coyotes-affiliated Tucson Roadrunners.
Gambrell accompanied the Sharks on a five-game road trip last week, but did not see any game action before being sent down to the Barracuda yesterday to center the Cuda’s second line. Gambrell has played two games so far this season, both with the AHL club. Over those two games, however, he has already tallied 5 points (3 goals, 2 assists), proving him to be a very real offensive threat at the AHL level.
