SAN JOSE — Defenseman Radim Simek is in a pretty good mood these days, even after a brief but intense post-practice skate with some of his Sharks teammates.
Or, maybe he’s happy because he can take part in that kind of activity.
After a grueling months-long rehabilitation on his surgically repaired right knee that he injured in March, Simek is inching closer to a return to the lineup. Thursday morning marked the first time in training camp he’s skated with the group, as the Sharks went through the paces before their preseason game against the Calgary Flames.
