SAN JOSE — Several roster hopefuls made a positive impression on coach Pete DeBoer on Tuesday night as the Sharks beat the Anaheim Ducks 4-1 at SAP Center in the first preseason game for both teams,
“There really wasn’t any weak parts to our game,” DeBoer said. “I thought we worked hard, I thought all four lines played well, all our defensemen played well and (Antoine) Bibeau was real good in net. It was a good night, a good start.”
The competition level for the first couple of preseason games isn’t nearly what it would be for a normal regular season tilt, of course.
