With the NHL's top team entering their arena, the Sharks stepped up to the challenge and took down the Capitals, 4-2, on Thursday night at SAP Center.
Logan Couture led the attack with two power play goals, scoring in the second and third period. Couture's second-period goal snapped a 2-2 tied.
Joe Thornton first put the Sharks on the board with a first-period goal, tying the game at one goal apiece. Joe Pavelski also found the back of the net.
Brent Burns continued his dominant season with three assists on the night.
