SAN JOSE -- The Sharks played their best game of the second round Saturday, scoring four unanswered goals to help earn a 5-1 win over the Nashville Predators at a sold out SAP Center to move to within one win of advancing to the Western Conference finals.
Less than 48 hours after a heartbreaking triple-overtime loss in Game 4, the Sharks controlled the pace almost from the start and never trailed as they took a three-games-to-two lead in the best-of-seven series.Joe Pavelski had two goals, including one on the power play in the third period, Patrick Marleau had a goal and an assist and goalie Martin Jones finished with 24 saves as the Sharks have a chance to close out the Predators on Monday in Nashville.
