Sharks notes: Is enforcer needed for rivalry games? DeBoer puts N.J. home up for sale

SAN JOSE — Micheal Haley had his critics in the NHL’s analytical world, but in his time with the Sharks, he always had the respect of those around him and never hesitated to stand up for a teammate.

The Sharks don’t have a true enforcer this season. Although a player like Brenden Dillon can also mix it up and hold others accountable, it’s only one aspect of his game.

Might the lack of a tough guy be an issue in an intense rivalry game like Saturday’s against a team like the Los Angeles Kings, which has noted agitator Dustin Brown and is expected to dress another tough customer in Kyle Clifford?
