SAN JOSE – Now that there’s only eight days until opening night, new Sharks coach Pete DeBoer is ready to see what he’s been preaching reflected on the ice surface.
San Jose hosts Vancouver on Tuesday night at SAP Center, and wraps up its preseason schedule in Arizona and Anaheim this weekend. The games start counting in Los Angeles on Oct. 7.
“This is an important, critical week for us to get our game in the right place,” DeBoer said. “I don’t think it’s something you turn on opening night. The whole idea is to move seamlessly around the ice without thinking.
