Sharks general manager Doug Wilson got a jump on Monday’s NHL trade deadline when he acquired Roman Polak and Nick Spaling from Toronto this week. The issue is whether Wilson is done trying to add to San Jose’s roster.
Alex Stalock’s continued inactivity would suggest Wilson might have seen enough of the backup goalie and is considering his options as the Sharks embark on a busy portion of their schedule — 16 games in 29 days from Thursday to March 31.
Going into Friday night’s game, when starter Martin Jones was scheduled to make his seventh straight start, Stalock had not played since a 6-5 shootout loss at home to Calgary on Feb.
