SAN JOSE — Joonas Donskoi could play Saturday night but captain Joe Pavelski will remain out when the Sharks host the Colorado Avalanche in a pivotal Game 5 on their second round playoff series.
Donskoi, who has missed the Sharks’ last five playoff games with an undisclosed injury, said Saturday morning that he’s available to play, although coach Pete DeBoer said the decision to put Donskoi in the lineup will be decided at game-time.
If Donskoi, who hasn’t played since Game 6 of the Sharks’ series against the Vegas Golden Knights on April 21, is in the lineup Saturday, it appears Lukas Radil will come out.
