NEW YORK — Over the first four games of his Sharks career, Martin Jones had been the best goalie on the ice — if not in the NHL.
On Monday night, however, he was one-upped.
Antti Raanta made 22 saves for his fourth career shutout as the New York Rangers beat the Sharks 4-0. The four goals against Jones were twice as many as he allowed in his first four starts. His goals-against average rose from 0.48 to 1.18.
“We lost pretty much every facet of the game,” Sharks head coach Pete DeBoer said.
